Let's get prepped!

Senior photos are such an exciting part of this season in your life! They’re all about celebrating who you are right now and creating memories you’ll love looking back on. With just a little prep, we’ll make sure your session is fun, stress-free, and totally you. Let’s get you ready to slay your senior photos!

Only 3 semesters left...

When it comes to booking your senior photos, earlier is always better! Ideally, you’ll want to book when you still have about three semesters of high school left. It might feel a little soon, but trust me—it’s worth it. Booking early means you’ll have a better chance of locking in your dream photographer, planning the rest of your summer around your session, and cruising into senior year totally stress-free.

Winter/Spring of your junior year is the perfect time to make it happen! Most photographers open up their calendars in January or February, so don’t wait too long. Once you’ve secured your session, you can dive into planning the most unforgettable summer of your life—because senior year is all about making memories you’ll want to keep forever!

1-2 months before

About 1-2 months before your senior session is the perfect time to book hair and makeup if you’re planning to have it professionally done. This ensures you’ll have plenty of time to secure your preferred artist and schedule. If you’re not sure where to start, don’t worry—I’m happy to provide recommendations for talented professionals who can help you feel your absolute best for your big day!

3 weeks before

About three weeks before your session, we’ll meet for coffee or hop on Zoom (depending on your package) to chat through all the details. By this point, it’s a great idea to have your Pinterest board finalized so we can get a clear vision for your session. If you’re planning to purchase additional outfits, now is the time to start shopping. Don’t forget about accessories—you don’t want to be scrambling the day before to find that perfect bracelet!

This is also the time to ease up on trying anything new with your skincare routine and be mindful about sun exposure. Avoid sunburns and tanning to keep your skin looking its best for the big day. Planning ahead now means less stress and a more enjoyable experience!

1 week before

One week to go! This is the time to finalize any outfits and confirm any last-minute location changes. Make sure everything fits well and is ready to go—no last-minute scrambling! By now, sunburns are a big no-no, so stay out of the sun as much as possible. And don’t forget to keep drinking plenty of water to keep your skin looking fresh and hydrated. You’re almost there, and it’s going to be amazing!

The Big day

It’s finally here—your senior photo day! Make sure to start the day right with at least a light breakfast (we don’t need anyone passing out mid-session!). Pack all the essentials from the list below, and don’t forget to bring a snack and some water to keep your energy up. Having a friend or parent with you is a great way to ease any nerves and make the experience even more fun. Let’s capture some unforgettable memories!
