A Magical Night Time Proposal in Downtown Omaha
Some moments just feel extra special, and Kyle and Morgan’s proposal was one of those for me. They were the very first couple I ever photographed, so getting to be a part of their surprise engagement was such a full-circle, meaningful experience.
Kyle reached out to me with a plan to propose to Morgan on December 26th in downtown Omaha, and I could tell right away that he had something unforgettable in mind. The Christmas lights were still twinkling in the city, and the whole downtown area had that magical holiday feel, which made for the perfect backdrop for a proposal.
As they walked through the streets, taking in the festive atmosphere, Kyle led Morgan right in front of a giant, glowing snowflake. There, he dropped to one knee, and Morgan’s face lit up with surprise and joy. Even more special, she had been dreaming of a marquise diamond ring, and that’s exactly what Kyle had picked out for her. The moment was nothing short of perfect!
Morgan was so surprised to see me there, and she was beyond happy that I was the one capturing this incredible moment for them. It was such an honor to be part of this unforgettable experience.
After the proposal, we snuck away to take some beautiful photos by a giant Christmas tree while their families hung out by the fire pits, waiting to celebrate with them. It felt so cozy and intimate, and the love between Kyle and Morgan was just radiating.
I knew they were eager to share the news with their loved ones, so I made sure to get their photos back to them in just 3 hours—just in time for them to announce their engagement to friends and family online.
This downtown Omaha proposal was one for the books! Being a part of these moments and seeing their love shine through just makes me even more thankful for the job I get to do. Kyle and Morgan, I’m so excited for what the future holds for you two, and I can’t wait to see all the joy ahead!
