Something about the Acreage in Palmyra, Nebraska, just hits different. I have shot a few weddings at this stunning Nebraska wedding venue, and it just never gets old.

This place is the perfect mix of elegance and the Midwest, and as an Omaha Wedding photographer, it is always nice to escape to this beautiful place outside of town.

About The Acreage

The Acreage offers a perfect mix of class while still feeling like you are in Nebraska. It is tucked away in Palmyra, Nebraska. It is 40 minutes outside of Lincoln and about an hour away from Omaha, making it easy for your guests to find quality accommodations.

The first time I walked into the Acreage, I thought, "Wow, did a wedding photographer build this place?" Turns out the answer is no, but Lydia and Josh (the owners)  did a fantastic job and left no detail unattended. For example, during the first tour I took when the venue first opened, Josh explained why there are benches near the dance floor. He said that when designing the space, he thought of his own grandparents and how they would want to be on the dance floor, but that mobility might be difficult for them.

Something unique about the Acreage, outside of all the tiny thought-out details, is its ability to shine in all of Nebraska's glorious seasons, yep, even winter. The outdoor ceremony space shines for 3/4 seasons of the year, and the inside can accommodate those colder months. The acreage is one of the few venues in the area that can flourish year-round.

The Acreage ceremony and reception spaces

One thing about the Acreage is that everything flows. If you are having an outdoor ceremony, the parking area has a path that leads directly into the ceremony space, which is sooo nice while you are hiding away, waiting for your big moment. No one is going to bother you or even get a peek at your perfectly decorated reception space.

The Acreage has two main ceremony spaces: one outside, and the other is the inside, which can be turned into an indoor ceremony. The Acereage supplies seating for both types of ceremonies. The classic white chairs outside photograph beautifully, as well as the black reception chairs inside.

What is special about this venue?

The Acreage has thought of every detail. The suites to get ready are nothing short of perfect. The staff is friendly and prompt. The integrated sound system for the ceremony space into cocktail hour. Even down to how the place is decorated. You can tell the owners, Lydia and Josh, really thought of every small detail. My favorite part about photographing at the Acreage is how easy it is made, it is simply stunning so it makes my job SO easy.
