What to Expect When Working with Me as Your Wedding Photographer
Your wedding day is one of the most important days of your life, and choosing the right photographer is a huge part of making sure those memories last forever. I know how much time, effort, and love goes into planning your big day, and I’m here to make the photography process as stress-free and enjoyable as possible. Here’s what you can expect when you work with me at Lexa’s Lens! This post dives into the technical aspects of working with me. You will get all of this with a side of my personality and the calm that I bring to wedding days!
Step 1: Inquiry
Once you inquire about wedding photography, I’ll simply check my availability and let you know if your date is open.
Step 2: Consultation Call
Before we move forward with booking, we’ll hop on a required consultation call. This is a chance for us to connect, go over expectations, and make sure we're the perfect fit for each other. I’ll answer any questions you have and walk you through the next steps!
Step 3: Booking, Contract & Retainer Payment
Once you decide to move forward, I’ll send over your contract and invoice for the retainer payment. Once those are completed, your date is officially secured!
Step 4: Engagement Session
If your package includes an engagement session, we’ll plan a date, time, and location that best represents your love story. This session is a great way for us to get to know each other, for you to get comfortable in front of my camera, and for me to understand how you interact as a couple. Plus, you’ll have beautiful photos to use for save-the-dates, wedding websites, and more!
Step 5: Wedding Questionnaire
As your wedding day approaches, I’ll send over a detailed questionnaire about two months before your big day to gather all the important details—from your timeline preferences to family photo lists. This helps me ensure that no important moments are missed and that everything runs smoothly on the big day.
Step 6: Wedding Timeline Planning Call
A seamless wedding day starts with a well-planned timeline. We’ll schedule a call to go over your wedding day schedule, making sure we have time for all the key moments, from getting ready to the grand exit. This call ensures that your timeline is realistic and stress-free.
Step 7: Finalizing Your Timeline
After our timeline planning call, I’ll finalize all the details and send over a structured timeline for you and your planner to review. This way, everyone is on the same page, and you can focus on enjoying your day!
Step 8: Your Wedding Day!
The big day is here, and my goal is to document it authentically while keeping the energy light and fun! From getting ready to your grand exit, I’ll capture the raw emotions, little details, and everything in between. I’ll help guide you through portraits but also step back and let the real, unscripted moments unfold.
Step 9: Sneak Peeks & Full Gallery Delivery
I know you’ll be eager to see your photos, so I deliver sneak peeks within a few days of your wedding! You’ll receive your full gallery within 4-6 weeks, filled with stunning images that tell the full story of your day.
Step 10: Reliving Your Day Forever
Once your gallery is delivered, you’ll have the option to order prints, albums, and wall art to preserve your memories in a tangible way. I love seeing my couples display their love story in their homes!
